This policy explains how CLTLease handles information connected to renter reviews, optional accounts, newsletters, contact requests, and site operations.
Information we collect
- Account information, such as name, email address, password authentication data, newsletter preference, and login timestamps.
- Review and community content, such as property reviews, replies, reports, dispute details, and any optional context you choose to submit.
- Contact information, such as messages sent to support, disputes, privacy, or other CLTLease inboxes.
- Technical and usage information, such as device type, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, search queries, approximate location signals, IP address, cookies, and logs used for security, analytics, spam prevention, and site improvement.
How we use information
- Operate CLTLease, maintain accounts, publish and moderate reviews, respond to support requests, and protect the platform from spam or misuse.
- Send newsletters, renter alerts, account notices, moderation updates, security messages, and service-related communications.
- Improve search, property pages, neighborhood guides, educational content, product decisions, and site performance.
- Investigate abuse, enforce our terms, comply with legal obligations, and protect the rights, safety, and security of CLTLease, renters, property owners, and the public.
Anonymous reviews and public content
- CLTLease is built so renters can share public reviews without showing their account name. Public review names may be anonymous, pseudonymous, or system-generated.
- Do not include private personal information in public reviews or replies. Public content may be visible to visitors, search engines, property owners, management companies, and other third parties.
- We may preserve moderation records, abuse reports, and technical signals even when public content is edited or removed, where needed for safety, legal, or platform-integrity reasons.
Newsletter and email preferences
- If you subscribe to the newsletter or create an account with newsletter opt-in enabled, we may use your email address to send CLTLease updates.
- You can unsubscribe from promotional or newsletter emails through the unsubscribe link in the email. Account, security, legal, and service-related emails may still be sent when necessary.
Sharing information
- We do not sell personal information to landlords, property managers, advertisers, or data brokers.
- We may share information with service providers that help us host the site, deliver email, process analytics, secure the platform, store data, or provide customer support. These providers are expected to use information only to provide services to us.
- We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, court order, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
Cookies and analytics
- CLTLease may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure site performance, understand traffic, and reduce abuse.
- You can adjust cookie settings in your browser. Some account, preference, or security features may not work correctly if cookies or local storage are disabled.
Security and retention
- We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No website, database, or transmission method is completely secure.
- We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to operate CLTLease, provide requested services, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security or moderation records.
Children
- CLTLease is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Your choices
- You may request access, correction, deletion, or help with your account by contacting support@cltlease.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
- Because CLTLease includes public-interest renter safety content, moderation records, and legal-risk records, some information may be retained where permitted or required by law.
Changes and contact
- We may update this Privacy Policy as CLTLease changes. The updated version will show the latest effective date.
